Monero Tracker & View

Terms of Use

Monero Tracker & View

Effective 5 October 2026 · Version 1.0

These terms cover the iPhone, iPad, and Mac app named Monero Tracker & View, version 1.0, published by the independent developer registered with Apple as Developer Team 7J597C37UA. The bundle identifiers are app.monero.tracker and app.monero.tracker.mac. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The app is a viewer

Monero Tracker & View is a balance-tracking utility. It shows incoming activity for Monero addresses you import together with the matching private view key. It cannot send, receive, sweep, sign, or construct a Monero transaction. It stores no spend key. It is not a wallet for moving funds, and it is not a custodian. The spend key remains in whatever spending wallet you already use.

2. No affiliation

Monero Tracker & View is an independent app. It is not produced by, endorsed by, or affiliated with the Monero project, monerod, Cake Wallet, or any other wallet developer. “Monero” and related marks belong to their respective owners. “Monero Tracker & View” is the name of this app.

3. Your authority to watch

Use the app only with keys you own or are authorized to observe. You are responsible for every address and view key you import. Do not import a key you are not allowed to hold. The on-device check that a view key matches an address does not make you the owner of that wallet.

4. Accuracy

Balances, confirmations, unlock times, and maturity are computed from data reported by the node you select or, if you choose explorer-assisted mode, by xmrchain.net. A malicious, stale, rate-limited, or faulty source can show wrong information. Coinbase outputs mature after 60 blocks under the Monero rules the app applies. Outgoing spends are not shown, because a view key cannot reveal them. Public daemons may refuse the calls required for a full private scan. Verify any figure that matters against a second source before you rely on it. Fiat amounts are estimates from CoinGecko in USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, or CHF, and they can be missing, delayed, or wrong.

5. Explorer-assisted mode

If you choose explorer-assisted mode, you instruct the app to send your address and private view key to xmrchain.net so that service can match outputs. That mode is labeled at import. Private node mode does not send the view key to the daemon. You can choose private node mode instead.

6. No custody and no recovery

The app never holds your Monero. It cannot move, freeze, reverse, or restore funds. Loss of a spend key, a device, or a view key is outside this app’s ability to repair. Deleting a tracked wallet or uninstalling the app deletes local tracking data. It does not affect funds on the Monero network.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use the app to break the law, to watch a wallet you are not allowed to watch, or to interfere with any node, explorer, or price service. Do not present the app as an official Monero product.

8. License

Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your download from the App Store, together with these terms. If a term here conflicts with Apple’s standard terms for a licensed application, Apple’s standard terms control on that point. The developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under Apple’s usage rules.

9. No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that balances are complete, that a scan will reach the chain tip, that a node or xmrchain.net or CoinGecko will be available, or that the app will be error free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost cryptocurrency, arising from your use of the app or from a node, explorer, or price service. The developer’s total liability for a claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app through Apple, which for version 1.0 is zero if you downloaded it at no charge. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law forbids that limit.

11. Apple

These terms are between you and the developer, not between you and Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of the Apple portions of the license and may enforce them. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on a U.S. Government prohibited or restricted party list.

12. Export

The app implements publicly documented standard cryptography (Curve25519 and Ed25519 arithmetic, Keccak-1600, and Monero Base58) only to recognize incoming outputs for display. You must comply with applicable export laws.

13. Changes and termination

These terms match version 1.0, effective 5 October 2026. A later build will show its own terms inside the app if the terms change. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting your data in Settings and uninstalling it. The developer may stop distributing the app through Apple. Sections that by their nature should survive, including accuracy, no warranty, and limitation of liability, survive termination.

14. Contact
