How it works

Three steps. No spend key.

Import, choose a scan mode, and watch incoming activity.

    Import

    Import an address you are allowed to watch, plus its private view key. Paste or scan a QR code. The app checks that the view key derives exactly that address’s public view key, and rejects a wrong key before anything is stored.

    Choose a scan mode

    Private node mode talks to a Monero daemon you select. Explorer-assisted mode uses xmrchain.net and is labeled at import because that mode sends the address and the private view key to xmrchain.net.

    Watch

    Balances, incoming payments, confirmations, and coinbase maturity (60 blocks) update from the chain data that source returns. Unlock time is shown. Outgoing spends are not visible, because a view key cannot see them.
